Last updated 2 years ago

We provide an automated version of the Trend Scalper, together with a backtester on TradingView.

It's possible to automate trading from TradingView to MT4/5 through PineConnector.

Dashboard

When you add the indicator to your chart you will notice a dashboard to the right side of your chart. This dashboard gives a quick overview of the past results with the current settings on the given timeframe.

Inputs

The settings of the JFX|Scalper|Bot can be adjusted to your own liking. When going to the indicator settings you will see the following screen:

Start date and end date

This applies to the date period on the dashboard, you can change this to pinpoint a certain period you would like to see on the dashboard

Active trading hours

The time period where you want the bot to take trades, anything outside of these hours the bot will automatically not take any trades.

Trend scalper sensitivity

This implies how sensitive the bot is to take trades, the lower the number the higher the amount of trades.

Take profit - Stop loss - Trailing stop loss

The TP/SL/TSL are given in points, one point is the last decimal on your current chart

Automation commands

Here you can input the commands used with PineConnector to automate the strategy from TradingView to MT4/5

Properties
TradingView backtester

Important : Past performance does not guarantee future results. Manage your risk accordingly.

In the Properties tab you can change the settings to match your exact situation, this gives a clearer overview for you as a trader.

You can use the tradingview backtester with the automated scalper just as you would with any other automated strategy on tradingview. In the backtester you can see things like past trades/equity curve/max drawdown and much more!
